In sessions and outside of them, the inmates reflect on all the misery they have inflicted on others and experienced themselves. This evokes considerable emotion in Xander and Tommie. Xander can no longer stand it with his cellmate and requests a transfer. Tommie's cellmate decides it is time to really subject him to a hazing ritual, just as the musical star finally seems to be starting to feel a little comfortable.
